Synonymy: Cycas circinalis subsp. vera var. pectinata, C. jenkinsiana Distribution: Northeastern India, Nepal, Bhutan; northern Burma and Yunnan Province in southern China; and south and east into northern Thailand, Laos and Vietnam
Common name: Assam—thaljimura; Burmese—môndaing; Ch.—bi-chi su-tie (cycad with comb-like megasporophylls), feng-wei-jiao, feng-huang-dan; Khasi—dieng-sia-goda; Nepalese—thakal, thaljimura; Thai—boka, plong, prong khao, prong pa (forest or field cycad).
