Cycas beddomei

Synonymy: Cycas circinalis subsp. vera var. beddomei, C. boddami hort. Distribution: Known only from the Cuddapah Hills in Andhra Pradesh State, northwest of Madras in eastern peninsular India.
Common name: Telugu—per ita, madhana-kamakshi (lit. lust-eyed one, presumably ref. to aphrodisiac properties); unidentified lang.—konda itha. Source: M. Bonta & R. Osborne, Cycads in the Vernacular. Conservation status: Endangered
