(Zamiaceae)
Stems occasionally underground, otherwise rigid to 10 m, mostly unbranched
above the ground. Leaves to 3,5m, pinnate. The pinnae rigid, leathery, often
spiny-toothed. Male cones stalked, subcylindric. Female cones usually broader
and heavier.
