South African Species
Page 1

This represents most of the gardens cycad collection. It has one of the most comprehensive collections of indigenous cycads of all the public gardens in South Africa. Apparently, it also has a specimen of Encephalartos woodii but this is not on display for the public; this might also be the case with some of the other more rare South African species. There is also a nice specimen of E. aplanatus in the garden, but it's not really possible to photograph. Due to the amount of species, I split this section up into three individual pages.
