Tour of Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum

Located near the Bayfront Center in St Petersburg, the Kopsick is free to visit and park.  They have a very nice collection of 200 palms representing 45 different species despite being only 2 acres.

Blue Latan Palm (Latania loddigesii) Three large silver Bismarckia nobilis
Until you see one for yourself, you cannot appreciate just how large this juvenile African Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis) is and how large it will become as it grows. This palm gives many Attaleas a run for their money in the size department. Becoming huge,  Corphya utan on the left, farther down the pathway are three Arenga pinnata of various sizes.

Syagrus sp. A rather small Copernicia macroglossa with a Dypsis decaryi (triangle palm) setting seed not too far behind.
